12/20/2023 0 Comments Kingdom hearts switch physical![]() Heck Dream Drop Distance is a no brainer, they got it to work on the 3ds.Īnd Birth By Sleep? we can emulate it on a hacked switch. The reason I believe this is laziness is because the HD 1.5 and 2.5 collection has games that should easily be able to run on Switch if Square enix was willing to do the effort to port the games. TL:DR Most of the games in the HD collections could easily run on the switch except for 0.2 if Square Enix was willing to put the effort in.īut is a sign of laziness from Square Enix. The Switch is starting to get at the end of its life cycle and I don't think this will be the last lazy cloud release we'll see. That being said, there still exists a market for KH with players who don't own anything other than a switch, so this release exists to fill in that gap in a way that is cost effective.ĭoes it suck? Definitely, but at this point I don't think anyone should be surprised. ![]() The high dev costs combined with the large possibility that many people won't rebuy the games (at lower quality) just for the novelty of portability, makes it unlikely KH Switch would see a return on investment. They're on PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC so it's unlikely most people haven't had a chance to play them. What I'm getting at is that process costs quite a bit of money, and let's be real you can already play these games. Even to release the previous games on Switch would require quite a bit of dev time to get smooth (remember you're porting five seperate games here). The Switch has 4gb of internal memory and getting KH3/0.2 to run on it at a reasonable quality would be a nightmarish task even for experienced Switch developers. Porting to a console is a lot harder than just looking at how powerful it is and if it's more powerful than another one you can wave a magic wand and release it. ![]() Yeah you could, but it's probably going to be a much worse experience, Windows with touch is horrible to use especially in a screen that size and The steamOS has been made with the steam deck input method in mind so it's going to be a much better experience (have tried it on other "portable gaming pc" with steam deck like input and it's bad time), and one of the things that set apart console and pc is the OS, with the OS that was made primarily for gaming like the PS and Xbox OS there isn't that much background task to do so it could focus on giving resources to the games and with windows there is a lot of unnecessary background task that you wouldn't need taking up resources, and for linux as from what i have tried keep it to a minimal (I can't really tell about the gaming experience tho because at the time i was using linux i didn't know what game could run on it) and with the modification that valve have made they could make it focuses more on the games, so even with spec that didn't look amazing on the paper it could run a lot of games at 60 fps and that is thanks to the OS ![]()
